Green dot Barnacle Geese were reported in the breeding season in nine tetrads, seven of them single birds and one pair that moved between the Chelford area sand quarries (SJ87A/ F), but with no higher evidence of breeding. Birds bred in the county at Radnor Mere (SJ87M/ N) in four years 1992-95 and at Tatton Park (SJ78K) in 2001 and 2002. The feral breeding population of the UK was at least 106 pairs in 2004, spread across nine counties (Holling et al 2007b).
